I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
