Postseason Picture Coming into Focus

With this result, the winning side extended their positive run to five straight games, solidifying their standing in the hunt for a top postseason berth. This triumph also ended a five-game streak against this specific opponent.

The visiting veteran passer, in his second appearance after a five-year hiatus, put up a strong fight, passing for 277 yards and two touchdowns. However, a fourth-quarter interception taken to the house ultimately decided the contest.

Game Recap

• First Quarter: The scoring opened with a 20-yard touchdown pass from the opposing quarterback. Purdy answered with a 22-yard scoring strike to even the game.
• Second Quarter: After a turnover on the kickoff, Purdy connected with McCaffrey for a short touchdown. The opponents tied it up before Purdy tossed his third TD pass to regain the lead.
• After Halftime: Purdy continued his rhythm, tossing another touchdown pass early in the third quarter. A fourth-quarter running touchdown by the opposition briefly made it a one-score game.
